What is the Cricut Gypsy?

The Gypsy is a portable personal design device for use with your Cricut® Personal, Create, Expression, Cake, Cake Mini, Expression 2 and Imagine machines. It allows you to store Cricut® cartridge content, design with that content, and then connect to your Cricut® to cut. You may also use your Cricut Gypsy to perform firmware updates on your Cricut machine.  

 

 

 

With which machines can I use the Cricut Gypsy?

The Cricut Gypsy may be used with the Cricut® Personal, Create, Expression, Cake, Cake Mini, Expression 2 and Imagine machines. 

Is the Cricut Gypsy™ device compatible with the Cricut Explore™, Maker and Cricut Design Space™ system?

Cricut Explore and Maker machines work in conjunction with Cricut Design Space™, which is cloud based software. Cricut Design Space™ is compatible with all content that has previously been linked to a Cricut Craft Room account. While the Gypsy is not compatible with the Explore or Maker machines, and there is not a direct way to link a Gypsy with Cricut Design Space, if you have previously linked your Gypsy to your account through Cricut Craft Room, you will be able to access those cartridges within Cricut Design Space. If you have not linked your Gypsy to your account, please contact Member Care through one of the options below for assistance. 

In Cricut Design Space, you can find your linked content by opening the “Images” window and using the filter menu in the upper right corner to select "Purchased". 

How do I repair my Gypsy?

At this time, Gypsy repairs are not available due to a lack of supply of the components needed to repair the machines. If you need to repair the Gypsy so that you can uplink the cartridges on it to your Cricut account for use with your Explore machine, please contact Member Care through one the options below for assistance.
