Settings overview

To access settings in Design Space for Desktop, click on the menu in the top right where your profile image and name are displayed. Then, select Settings.

Design Space for Desktop settings are grouped into tabs: 

• General
  • Country – Choose your Country
  • Language – Choose your Language
  • Default Save location – Decide if projects will save to the cloud & computer, or only the cloud by default
  • Application Experience – Switch between using the Beta or regular version of Design Space
  • About Design Space – See what version of Design Space you’re using, check for updates, install pending updates, see what’s new in Design Space, and see legal info
    
    
     
• Content
  • Choose whether to view mature content, and personalize your content preferences. 
    
    
     
•  Machines - available options will vary depending on which machine you select from the list.
  • My Machines – A list of cutting machines and heat presses activated on your account
  • New Product Setup – Set up and register a new Cricut product
  • Update Firmware – Confirm your product has the latest updates
  • Machine Calibration – Connect to your machine and calibrate it for the best Print Then Cut, Knife Blade (Maker models), or Rotary Blade (Maker models) accuracy
  • Machine Care - See cleaning instructions for Cricut Venture
  • Custom Material Settings – Create your own pressure settings
  • Link Cartridges – Link physical cartridges to your Cricut account (Explore Air 2 and older) 
    
    
     
• Canvas
  • Canvas grid – Switch between using a full grid, partial grid, or no grid on the Canvas
  • Units – Switch between using Imperial or Metric measurements
  • Operation Type - Turn on or off the operation type label in the Layers panel
    
    
     
• Load Type
  • Choose your preferred default Load Type and Print Then Cut Page Size for each machine type.
    
    
     
• Notifications
  • Turn on or off Notifications for the following settings:
    • Community
      • When others like your project
      • When a project inspired by yours is shared
      • When someone follows you
      • When someone you follow shares a project
      • When someone you follow shares an image
    • Other
      • Tutorials, how-tos & cheatsheets
      • Limited-time discounts. offers & coupons
      • Content inspiration, fonts & project ideas
      • New features, products & updates
      • Survey opportunities
  •  You can also activate a toggle to disable all in-app notifications.
    
    
     
• System
  • Provides a quick look at some important basic system properties for your device, including your system architecture and resources. Includes a hyperlink to the minimum system requirements for Design Space. 
    
    

How to submit bug reports and feedback

When using Cricut Design Space, if you encounter something that isn't working the way you think it should, or if you have an idea about how to improve the experience, please submit the problem or feedback using the Feedback tool that is found in the Account Menu.

Settings overview

To access settings in Design Space for iOS, navigate to the Home page and tap on the three lines in the upper left. Then, select Settings.

Here you can find the following settings: 

• Print Then Cut - For Print Then Cut compatible machines, this is where you can: 
  • Calibrate your machine for Print Then Cut
  • Set a default material size for Print Then Cut projects - choose from a list of supported page sizes and Design Space will automatically set this as the material size for Print Then Cut projects. 
    
    
     
• Load Type - Choose your preferred default Load Type for each machine type you use, and Design Space will automatically choose this Load Type for your projects.
  
  
   
• Custom Material Settings - Create your own cut settings, or edit existing ones. 
  
  
   
• Content Settings - Choose whether to view mature content, and personalize your content preferences.
  
  
   
• Account Settings - Select options here to go to myaccount.cricut.com and make any needed account setting changes, or delete your Cricut account. 
  
  

Additional project settings are available on the Canvas. Tap the three dot "More" menu, then select "Canvas Settings."

Then, you can adjust settings for: 

• Grid - Toggle to turn the Canvas grid off or on
• Light mode - Toggle between Light Mode or Dark Mode
• Operation Types - Choose whether to have your image Operation types displayed in the Layers panel
• Snap to Align - Toggle to turn alignment guides off or on. These guides help you easily align and position objects relative to other items on the Canvas. 
• Units - Switch between Metric (centimeters) and Imperial (inches) units of measurement on Canvas
  
  

How to submit bug reports and feedback

When using Cricut Design Space, if you encounter something that isn't working the way you think it should, or if you have an idea about how to improve the experience, please submit the problem or feedback using the Feedback tool that is found in the Account Menu.

1. Select the Help icon in the app. Then select Report a Bug.
   
     
    
2. On the next screen you can choose to report a bug, suggest an improvement, or ask a question. 
   
   
    
3. Enter your email address and a detailed description about the issue you're experiencing, the suggestion you have, or the question you would like to ask. When reporting a problem, it is helpful to provide a detailed list of steps to reproduce the issue. 
   
   
    
4. Near the bottom of the form find the option to start a screen recording, take a screenshot, or select a file from the gallery. It is helpful if you include a screenshot or recording of the issue with your feedback. 
   
   
    
5. Select the Send icon to send the form to Cricut. Thank you for helping us make Cricut Design Space better!

How to view Design Space in another language

On Design Space for mobile, the app language is determined by your device settings. Switch your mobile device language to automatically change the language in Designs Space.
