How to set up Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut

Follow these steps to unpack your Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut machine, install the ink cartridge and materials, and power it on.

 

1. Install Cricut Design Space 

Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut is used with the Cricut Design Space application, which requires a compatible Bluetooth-enabled device and high-speed internet connection. For details about system requirements, visit cricut.com/systemrequirements.

  1. Go to cricut.com/setup.  If using a mobile device, you can also scan the QR code in the box.  
  2. Select your machine – Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut – and follow the prompts to install Cricut Design Space on your compatible computer or mobile device.
  3. Some devices require permission for Design Space to use Bluetooth or find nearby devices. If prompted for this permission, select Allow or the equivalent option on your device.   

 

2. Remove the packaging 

  1. Remove the shrink wrap from the machine.
  2. Open Door B by gently pulling the white tab hanging through the slot in the door.
  3. Remove and recycle the cardboard piece, then pop the door back into place.

 

3. Install the ink cartridge

  1. Open the ink cartridge door.
  2. Position the ink cartridge with the label side facing up. Avoid touching the film on the ink cartridge; handle it by the hard plastic only.  
  3. Insert the ink cartridge until it locks into place.  
  4. Close the ink cartridge door.  

Important: Load ink cartridge only while the printer is sitting idle.  

 

4. Place and power on the machine.

  1. Place the machine on a stable, flat surface.
  2. Leave at least 12 in (30.5 cm) of clear space on all sides to give materials room to feed in and out of the machine while printing and cutting.  
  3. Connect the included power adapter to the power port on the machine.  
  4. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
  5. Press the button on top of the machine to turn it on.

 

5. Connect the machine to Design Space

During the new product setup process in Design Space, after you turn on the machine, Design Space will begin connecting to it automatically.  

It may take a minute or two for your Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut machine to appear. Keep the app open and ensure the device remains within 15 feet (4.5m) of your machine.

  1. When your machine appears on the screen, select it.  
  2. Once connection has been established, select Activate.  
  3. Design Space will automatically perform any firmware updates that are available for your machine. Keep the machine powered on and remain in the app until the update is complete.
  4. When Design Space shows that the firmware update is complete, select Continue.

You’re ready to make your first project! 

 

6. Load material into the Material Tray

When you’re ready to print a project, load Sticker Sheets or Photo Paper into the Material Tray. Based on your project, Design Space will prompt you for which material you should load.

Recommended: Open the material packaging by cutting the very top of the plastic bag open with scissors. This way, it’s easy to store materials back in the bag.

  1. Remove the Material Tray from the Material Tray Storage area.  
  2. Lift the Material Tray cover.
  3. Place the material in the tray with the printable side facing up.  
  4. Move the adjustable material guide to the position that matches your material:  
    • Photo Paper: 4x6” position
    • Sticker Sheets: 4x7” position
  5. Close the Material Tray cover.  

The Material Tray holds up to 18 sheets, which is one package of paper.

Important: Do not touch the printable side of the material. Fingerprints, dust, or oils may affect print quality.  

 

7. Insert the Material Tray

  1. Insert the loaded Material Tray into the Material Tray Slot located directly below the Material Tray Storage area.  
  2. Push the tray into the slot until it clicks into place.  
  3. Select the option to Make your project in Design Space.  

Note: Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut is designed for indoor use only. It should never be left or stored outside in unheated or unairconditioned spaces, or in environments where the machine can come in contact with water. The optimal working temperature for Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut is 50-95°F (10-35°C), and the relative humidity is 40-60%. Print quality may be affected if the environmental temperature and humidity are not appropriate.
