How to set up Cricut StickerPix Print

Follow these steps to unpack your Cricut StickerPix Print machine, install the ink cartridge and materials, and power it on. 

 

1. Install Cricut Design Space 

Cricut StickerPix Print is used with the Cricut Design Space application, which requires a compatible Bluetooth-enabled device and high-speed internet connection. For details about system requirements, visit cricut.com/systemrequirements.

  1. Go to cricut.com/setup.  If using a mobile device, you can also scan the QR code in the box.  
  2. Select your machine – Cricut StickerPix Print – and follow the prompts to install Cricut Design Space on your compatible computer or mobile device.
  3. Some devices require permission for Design Space to use Bluetooth and the local network, or to find nearby devices. If prompted for these permissions, select Allow or the equivalent option on your device.  

 

2. Remove the packaging

  1. Remove the plastic from the machine.
  2. Remove the blue tape from the ink cartridge door (Door B).

 

3. Install the ink cartridge

  1. Open the ink cartridge door.
  2. Position the ink cartridge with the label side facing up. Avoid touching the film on the ink cartridge; handle it by the hard plastic only.  
  3. Insert the ink cartridge until it locks into place.  
  4. Close the ink cartridge door.  

Important: Load ink cartridge only while the printer is sitting idle. 

 

4. Place and power on the machine.

  1. Place the machine on a stable, flat surface.
  2. Leave at least 4 in (10 cm) of clear space in front of and behind the machine to give materials room to feed in and out of the machine while printing.
  3. Connect the included power adapter to the power port on the machine.  
  4. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
  5. Hold down the power button for three (3) seconds or until the Power Indicator light turns on.

 

5. Connect the machine to Design Space

During the new product setup process in Design Space, after you turn on the machine, Design Space will begin connecting to it automatically. If you are prompted for nearby device permission, make sure to allow this to connect to your machine.

It may take a minute or two for your Cricut StickerPix Print machine to appear. Keep the app open and ensure the device remains within 15 feet (4.5m) of your machine.

  1. When your machine appears on the screen, select it and wait for it to connect.  
  2. Allow Design Space to find local networks - Access to local networks is required to connect to Wi-Fi. Choose Continue.
  3. Allow Design Space to use your location - Access to your location helps to ensure you are only connecting to local, secure networks. Choose Continue.
  4. If your device prompts you for location or network permission separately from Design Space, make sure to allow these permissions.
  5. Select a secure, private 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, enter the Wi-Fi password, then tap Connect.
  6. Once connection has been established, the Wi-Fi light will turn solid. Then select Activate.   
  7. Design Space will automatically perform any firmware updates that are available for your machine. Keep the machine powered on and remain in the app until the update is complete.
  8. When Design Space shows that the firmware update is complete, select Continue.

You’re ready to make your first project!

 

6. Load material into the Material Tray

When you’re ready to print a project, load up to 10 sheets of Photo Paper or a single Sticker Sheet into the Material Tray. Based on your project, Design Space will prompt you for which material you should load.

Recommended: Open the material packaging by cutting the very top of the plastic bag open with scissors. This way, it’s easy to store materials back in the bag.

  1. Lift Material Tray off the top of the printer.
  2. Slide out and flip the cap (Part A) underneath the tray until it clicks.

  3. Lift the lid (Part B) to open, then load the material shiny side up into the Material Tray.

Load limit: Photo Paper, up to ten (10) sheets. For sticker sheets, load one (1) Sticker Sheet at a time.

  1. Close the lid and lower the kickstand beneath the Material Tray. Make sure both are securely in place before proceeding.

Important: Do not touch the printable side of the material. Fingerprints, dust, or oils may affect print quality. 

 

7. Insert the Material Tray

  1. Open Machine Door (Door A) and insert the loaded Material Tray into the Material Tray Slot.
  2. Push the tray into the slot until it clicks into place.  
  3. Select the option to Make your project in Design Space. 

Note: Cricut StickerPix Print is designed for indoor use only. It should never be left or stored outside in unheated or unairconditioned spaces, or in environments where the machine may come in contact with water. The optimal working temperature for Cricut StickerPix Print is 50-95°F (10-35°C), and the relative humidity is 40-60%. Print quality may be affected if environmental temperature and humidity are not appropriate.
