2025-04-21 | Beta | Version 9.13
This Design Space for Desktop Beta release (v9.13) includes backend improvements and the following fixes.
Note: This section will be updated when this release goes to production.
Basic Project Search Filters
Some basic project filters have been added to the Projects tab when performing a search on Home. You can now filter project search results with Categories, General (My Projects or Bookmarked), and Creators / Brands (Community Projects or Cricut).
Fixed field issues
This release:
- Fixed issue where Collections “+” button was getting disabled when trying to save a Collection with an empty name
- Issue where Cricut Access logo appeared broken in Shapes panel has been fixed
- Issue where Collection name disappears when project tags are clicked has been fixed
The last 6 weeks:
Over the last 6 weeks we've fixed 12 software defects, including the following priority field issues and reliability concerns:
- Issue of Print Then Cut image size not matching between Canvas and mat preview has been fixed
- Issue where Cricut Sans font inserts the wrong style has been fixed
- Issue where projects that were added to Collections were getting removed when Like/Unlike action was performed has been fixed
- Reduce Color functionality not working has been fixed
- Issue where some re-uploaded SVG > OTF fonts were not rendering has been fixed
- Issue with being unable to delete selected Text using shortcut “Delete” key when the font panel is open has been fixed
- An issue causing users to be unable to apply Warp for any images or text if they have deleted images or text while the Warp modal is open has been fixed
- Issue where Rotary calibration lines were not cutting through has been fixed
- Some dynamic previews not being thick enough has been resolved

This Design Space for Desktop release (v9.12) includes backend improvements and the following fixes.
New Project Button
Clicking on New Project from the Home screen will display a list of various popular project types that can be selected. Selecting a project type will insert a template onto the Canvas and automatically open a panel of content to assist you in creating your design.
To begin a project without templates or suggested content, select "Blank Canvas". Templates and other content will still be available when you need them, in the design panel on the left side of Canvas.

- Issue of Print Then Cut image size not matching between Canvas and mat preview has been fixed

This Design Space for Desktop release (v9.11) includes backend improvements and the following features and fixes.
New Product Setup – Help when not enough material is loaded
If not enough material is loaded for the test cut, a message explaining the issue and suggesting steps to resolve will display.
Print Then Cut Improvements – Calibration Recommended
Improvements to the cut accuracy of Print Then Cut are available with this release! To get these improvements, we will prompt users to perform a Print Then Cut calibration the next time they proceed to make a Print Then Cut project. If users dismiss the prompt, they can choose to calibrate any time through Settings > Machines > Machine Calibration.
