A Cricut cutting machine is registered automatically when you complete the new product setup process. For instructions, select a platform below. You can also check the registration status of a machine.
Check a Cricut machine's status
Note: To register a Cricut Venture machine, you must be connected to a Windows or MAC computer, this machine is not currently compatible with Design Space on mobile platforms.
- Plug in the machine and power it on.
- Connect the machine to your computer with the USB cord or pair it via Bluetooth.
- Go to design.cricut.com/setup in your browser.
- Download and install Design Space for Desktop (help article).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in or create your Cricut ID, and set up your new machine.
- You will know the setup is complete when you are prompted to do a test cut.
- Plug in the machine and power it on.
- Pair your Android or iOS device with Cricut machine via Bluetooth.
- Download and install the Design Space app (help article).
- Launch the app, then sign in or create a Cricut ID.
- Tap the menu and select Machine Setup.
- Select your machine model and follow the on-screen prompts to complete setup.
- You will know the setup is complete when you are prompted to do a test cut.
Tip: Your machine is registered and activated during machine setup. If you did not complete setup when you connected your machine to your computer for the first time, re-connect your machine, go to design.cricut.com/setup or select New Machine Setup through the Design Space menu and follow the on-screen prompts.
Would be useful to have information on how to set up a machine when already in design space. Since product setup takes member to account creation, if the member signs out and does product setup from the login screen they run the risk of creating a duplicate account. The only other information for setting up while signed in is only present in an internal article from what I can find.
