Cutting Fusible Fabrics with Cricut Explore or Maker
- Place Fusible Fabrics adhesive side down on FabricGrip cutting mat.
- Use a brayer to create a firm bond between the fabric and the mat's adhesive.
- Choose the Fusible Fabric setting in Design Space and proceed to cut desired images.
Application instructions
Always pretest fusible fabric on a piece of scrap material before beginning.
With household iron
- Preheat iron to medium/high heat, no steam. As all irons vary, you may need to adjust the heat setting.
- Place fusible fabric adhesive side down on top of your project.
- Press and hold the iron for 20 seconds. Repeat on each section until the entire piece is securely bonded.
With Cricut EasyPress
Tip: Temperature for EasyPress will depend on what you are using for a pressing surface. Refer to this Interactive Quick Reference Guide for more information.
- Set EasyPress temperature and time to the recommended settings based on whether you are using an EasyPress mat or a folded towel as the pressing surface.
- Preheat the design area for 5 seconds.
- Place fusible fabric adhesive side down on top of your project.
- Press and hold EasyPress for 30 seconds. Repeat on each section until the entire piece is securely bonded.
- Apply heat to the back side of the design area for 15 seconds.
Care
- Fusible fabric adhesive creates a temporary bond which does not withstand washing. Fusible fabric appliqués should be stitched down to permanently secure shape to the fabric.
- Machine wash cold. No chlorine bleach.
- Tumble dry low. Remove promptly.
