Over time, and with use, your machine may collect dust or paper particles, or you may see some machine grease begin to build upon the carriage shaft. Cleaning it is easy!
Consider the following tips when cleaning your Cricut machine:
- Always disconnect your machine from power before cleaning it.
- To clean the plastic surfaces of your machine, spray glass cleaner on a soft, clean cloth, then wipe your machine.
Important: Never spray cleaner directly onto machine. Never use any kind of acetone, such as nail polish remover, as that will permanently damage the plastic surfaces of the machine.
- Static electricity build-up may cause dust or paper particles to accumulate on or in your machine. Simply wipe these particles with a soft, clean cloth.
- Some grease is necessary for smooth operation of the machine, but if you see grease buildup on the carriage shaft, use a cotton swab, tissue, or a soft cloth to gently remove it.
