Cut, Draw, Score, Engrave, Deboss, Perf, and Wavy are all referred to as Linetype. Linetype tells your machine how to interact with your materials.
To select a Linetype for your design layers, follow these steps:
1. Use the dropdown in the upper right corner to select your machine type. This ensures that only Linetype options available for your machine appear in the menu.
2. Insert your image(s) or text onto the Canvas.
3. From the Edit bar, select the Linetype dropdown. The current Linetype is pre-selected and other Linetype options for your machine will be displayed.
4. Select the desired Linetype. The image on the Canvas will update to reflect your selection, and the Linetype will be listed in the Layers panel. When you send your project to the machine, Design Space will prompt you to insert the appropriate tool.
Tip: You can change the Linetype of multiple layers at once. Just select desired layers, then use the dropdown to select the Linetype you want.
Tip: Use the Attach tool in the Layers panel to fasten Draw, Score, or Foil layers to the appropriate Cut layer.
Important: Advanced features like changing Linetype are available only in Design Space.
