The cut sensor light on the carriage assembly is used to scan cut sensor marks on Print Then Cut projects.
Tip: It is okay if it never comes on during cut-only projects, and it is okay if it is always on during cut-only projects.
- If that light comes on when you power on the machine, it is usually because one or both of the clamps on the carriage is in the down position. To try shutting it off you can either lift the clamps or power the machine off and then back on.
- If the light does not come on when attempting Print Then Cut projects, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Note: If the light is already on when you open the machine, prior to powering it on, this is due to residual electrical current in the machine. It does not signify an issue with the machine.
