When loading the mat
If the power button light begins to flash red when you try to load your cutting mat, follow the steps below:
- Are you having this issue with multiple projects?
- If the issue is isolated to one project, an error may have occurred when saving that corrupted the project, and the project will need to be re-created.
- If the issue occurs with multiple projects, proceed to step 2.
- The roller bars may have gathered some dust or debris on them that is causing the error. Power the machine OFF, then manually move the carriage car across the roller bar 3-4 times to clear out any debris that may have gathered.

When cutting a project
This can happen if the mat, material, or blade is stuck in the material.
- Does this happen with every material?
- If it does, it could indicate issues with the machine.
- The first thing to try is to turn the machine off (or unplug it), move the carriage car back and forth at least six times, turn the machine back on and try the project again.
- If the issue persists, please contact Member Care through one of the options below.
- Are you using the Knife Blade?
- The Knife Blade is designed to cut materials such as balsa wood and leather, it is common for the machine to give a blinking red light when the blade gets stuck in thicker materials.
- Simply follow the onscreen instructions, clear any debris, and press the cut button again and it will resume the cut. This may happen multiple times during a cut.
