New features in Design Space for Desktop are rolled out to groups of users in phases rather than all at once. This helps us make sure everything goes smoothly.
Here's how it works:
- Download and sign in to Design Space for Desktop.
- Sign in to enter a pool of users who are eligible for the rollout of the feature update when we begin rollout.
- We will randomly select a small percentage of that pool to update to a new version of Design Space that has the new features and gradually increase that percentage over the course of a few weeks.
- If you are randomly selected, your app will automatically update upon launching or, if you have the app open while the update is detected, you will be prompted to update your application while on the Canvas.
- By choosing to update you will have the newest version of Design Space complete with any new features.
- If you are randomly selected, your app will automatically update upon launching or, if you have the app open while the update is detected, you will be prompted to update your application while on the Canvas.
- Eventually, everyone who has downloaded Design Space for Desktop will have the updated version with the new features intact when the rollout completes. The exact timing for the completion of these rollouts is never set in stone; it is always based on software performance testing and feedback from our users as we go.
So remember: download Design Space for Desktop and if you get an auto-update prompt while on the Canvas make sure that you choose to update. You can always see what is in the update by clicking Learn More in the update prompt.
As we rollout new features know that it is our way of testing the stability and experience of our software to give the best possible product to our members. If you are selected we encourage you to be active in providing feedback if you encounter issues as it is the only way we can improve.
