Cricut Autopress contains a fan and several design features which allow the fan to direct airflow away from critical touchpoints on the machine, so the handle is always safe to touch during use.
What parts of the machine are heated?
The heat plate on Cricut Autopress is the only part of the machine that is heated.
CAUTION: Cricut Autopress operates at high temperatures. Machine heat plate is hot during use.
While the extra-wide open position of Cricut Autopress helps minimize accidental burns, be mindful of the heat plate as you work near the machine.
Does the fan continue to run after turning Cricut Autopress off?
No, when Cricut Autopress is powered off, the fan will turn off as well. Similarly, the fan will turn on as soon as Cricut Autopress is powered on, and you will hear it engage. If you do not hear the fan engage, or if the fan continues to run after you have powered the machine off, contact Member Care for assistance.
Cooling Tips
- Cricut Autopress will begin cooling once powered off. There is no need to turn down temperature or otherwise allow the press to cool before powering off.
- Once Cricut Autopress been powered off, unplug the machine until your next session. It is recommended to unplug the press any time it is not in use.
- Cricut Pressing Mat may be left in the machine while it is cooling – no need to remove it.
- Close the lid and engage the lock for safety while the press cools down.
Transitioning between settings
When you change temperature settings, the light on the handle will turn orange until the press has reached the new target temperature on the pod. Once the temperature has been reached the light will turn green, and the Cricut Autopress will beep.
