Compatible Materials
Cricut Mug Press is designed for Infusible Ink products, including:
- Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets
- Infusible Ink Markers
- Cricut Mug Blanks
Note: Generic mugs labeled "sublimation compatible" are likely to work with Infusible Ink and Cricut Mug Press, but we cannot guarantee results with non-Cricut blanks. For best results, use Cricut mug blanks with Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets and Markers. When using non-Cricut blanks, look for poly-coated, sublimation-compatible products that meet the specifications below:
- Capacity of 10 – 16 oz (295 – 450 ml)
- Drinkware with smooth, straight pressing area only; avoid placing design on curves, bevels and textures
- Diameter between 3.2 in - 3.4 in (82 – 86 mm)
- Maximum height of 4.72 in (120 mm)
Mug Prep Instructions

- Turn on Cricut Mug Press to preheat
- Lint roll or clean mug with a lint-free cloth*
- Align design on mug, leaving at least 0.5 in (1.3 cm) from mug handle
- Wrap design around mug, ensuring there are no gaps between design and mug
- Secure edges with heat-resistant tape
*Even hard blanks like mugs may have lint fibers on them not visible to the naked eye. Dye from these fibers can activate during transfer, infusing unwanted blue speckles into your blank.
How to align your design on Cricut beveled and stackable mugs
For flawless transfer results, press only on the smooth, straight area of the mug and ensure design is completely flat against mug surface. Align the design so it stops before the beveled or chiseled edge begins to avoid a blurred transfer result.
To align a full wrap design on a Cricut beveled or stackable mug, flip the mug upside-down and use the straight edge of the top rim as a reference to get it in just the right spot.
Important: Be sure to place mug in Cricut Mug Press right side up, resting bottom of mug on the base heater.
