How to change the cutting tool
Changing the blade in Cricut Joy 2 is simpler and safer than ever with the Premium Fine-Point Cutting Tool – a blade and housing in one!*
- Open the tool clamp and remove the cutting tool. CAUTION: Cutting tools are sharp. Use extreme caution. Avoid touching the bottom of the tool.
- Safely discard the whole tool.
- Remove new Premium Fine-Point Cutting tool from packaging.
- Insert the new cutting tool into the clamp until the upper rim of the tool rests on top of the clamp.
- Close the clamp.
*Premium Fine Point Cutting Tool also compatible with Cricut Joy & Cricut Joy Xtra.
How to install a pen or marker
- Open the tool clamp.
- Remove cutting tool and set aside on a flat, stable surface where it will not roll. CAUTION: Cutting tools are sharp. Use extreme caution. Avoid touching the bottom of the tool.
- Remove cap from a compatible pen or marker*.
- Insert pen in clamp and allow it to drop into place. No press or click needed!
- Close the tool clamp.
The machine is ready to draw!
How to change the blade
- Open the clamp and remove the blade housing.
- Gently push the plunger on the top of the housing and carefully pull out the blade from the bottom. CAUTION: Cutting tools are sharp. Use extreme caution.
- Remove the protective cover from the new blade.
- Insert the new blade into the housing so that the sharp side of the blade points out of the housing. The magnet in the housing will hold the new blade in place.
- Return the blade housing to the clamp and close it.
How to install a pen or marker
- Open clamp.
- Remove Blade Housing and set aside in a safe place.
- Remove cap from Cricut Joy pen or marker*.
- Insert pen in clamp and allow it to drop into place. No press or click needed!
- Close clamp.
- The machine is ready to draw!
Tip: Place cap on end of pen/marker while drawing to keep track of it. Replace cap on tip of pen/marker when not in use.
