Design Space is the free software used with Cricut smart cutting machines. It is available for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android. Here are the current minimum system requirements for the application.
Important: Design Space is not supported on Chromebooks, or Unix / Linux Computers.

How to find and update to the current Design Space version
Cricut recommends using the latest version of Design Space for best results with your Cricut machine. Select a platform below for steps to find your current app version and check for updates.
Note: The actual version number will change regularly as updates are released, but the process for finding the version you have will remain the same.
The Design Space version number currently in use may be found by selecting the menu in the upper right, then select Settings > General > About Design Space.
In the same area, select Check for updates to see if there is a more current version to install.
- Open the Cricut Design Space App and sign in.
- Open the app menu in the top-left of the screen (shows your initials or profile picture).
- Select About and you will see the version number listed there. You may need to close the notification about Cricut Access or scroll down.
To check for available app updates:
- Open the App Store app on your device.
- Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
- Scroll to see pending updates and release notes for the apps installed on your device. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app.
- You can also search the App Store for Cricut Design Space, then select it in the list of search results. If an update is available, there will be a button titled Update for you to select and proceed to update the app.
- Open Cricut Design Space App and sign in.
- Open the app menu by tapping your initials or profile picture at the top-left of the screen.
- Tap on About and the version number will be listed there.
To check for available app updates:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- At the top right, tap the profile icon.
- Tap Manage apps & device > Manage.
- Tap the app you want to update.
- Tip: Apps with an update available are labeled "Update available."
- Tap Update.
- You can also search the Google Play Store for Cricut Design Space, then select it in the list of search results. If an update is available, there will be a button titled Update for you to select and proceed to update the app.
