Cricut Joy 2 features a simplified load process, so it’s easier than ever to start making! Explore the information below to learn more about interacting with your machine.
1. Tool Clamp
Used with Pens & Markers, Scoring Tool, pre-installed Premium Fine Point Cutting Tool, and Cricut Joy Foil Transfer Tool. Visit these help articles to learn about compatible Tools and Pens:
2. Material Guides
When it’s time to load your mat or Smart materials into the machine, insert mat/material under these guides until it touches the machine rollers. The guides help ensure your mat and materials are properly aligned while feeding through the machine.
The machine will automatically load your material and start making your project – no need to click “Go” in Design Space!
3. Indicator Light
Cricut Joy 2 powers on as soon as you plug it in, and this indicator light helps you understand machine status:
- Solid: Ready to use
- 50% Brightness: Idle
- Slow Pulse: Activate machine (proceed to Cricut.com/setup to activate your machine)
- Flashing: Waiting on user interaction
- Flashing Color: Error; see Design Space for error message and troubleshooting tips.
4. Material sensors
These sensors detect when material is being loaded into the machine and let the machine know to engage the rollers which feed mats and materials through the machine. They also aid in measuring materials to ensure the right amount of material has been loaded for your project.
