For security purposes, we periodically do what is called “pinning a new certificate” with Cricut applications. When we pin a new certificate, it is possible you will experience an issue (listed below) in your Cricut applications. In all cases, we recommend updating or installing the latest version of the app to resolve the issue and get back to crafting. Continue reading for more information.
Cricut Heat app (iOS and Android)
Possible Issue:
- If logged in, will experience an infinite spinner, or the app may crash
- If logged out, users will be given an error message and won’t be able to log in
- If logged out, users will be thrown to the Welcome screen, or the app may crash
Resolution:
- Navigate to the Apple app store or Google Play store on your device and update or install the latest version of the app.
Cricut Design Space
Desktop
Possible issue:
- If logged in, will experience an infinite spinner or the app may crash.
Resolution:
- Navigate to design.cricut.com, then choose the option to download and install the app – this will give you the latest version of the app.
iOS
Possible issue:
- If logged in, will experience an infinite spinner, or the app may crash
- If logged out, users will be given an error message and won’t be able to log in
Resolution:
- Reach out to Member Care for further assistance.
Android
Possible issue:
- If logged in, will experience an infinite spinner, or the app may crash
- If logged out, users will be given an error message and won’t be able to log in
- If logged out, users will be thrown back to the Welcome screen or the app may crash
Resolution:
- Uninstall the app, then navigate to the Google Play store and install the latest version of the app.
