If you'd like to uninstall Design Space from your computer or mobile device for troubleshooting purposes or permanently, please follow the steps below:
- Ensure that Design Space for Desktop is closed. If the application is not closed it will not uninstall properly.
- Select the Start icon in the lower left corner of the screen and search Programs. Select the option to Add or remove programs. This will open the Apps & features window.

Use the search field to search "Cricut." Select Cricut Design Space from the list, then select the Uninstall button.
- Confirm that you wish to uninstall Cricut Design Space.
- The system will complete the uninstallation. If prompted, restart your computer.
Note: There may be slight variations depending on your version of Windows. Visit windows.microsoft.com for more information.
- Open the Finder and select Applications.
(If you do not see the Applications folder, you can click Finder, go to the top of the screen, select Go > Applications.) - Drag the Cricut Design Space application from the Applications folder to the Trash.
- Next, right-click the trash and select Empty Trash.
(You can also open the trash, click the gear icon or 3 dots icon, and then Empty Trash.)
- Confirm that you want to permanently erase the items in the Trash, by clicking Empty Trash.
- The system will complete the uninstallation. If prompted, restart your computer.
- While on your home screen, press and hold the Design Space icon.
- Tap Remove App.
- Select Delete App.
Important: If you have downloaded images, fonts, or saved projects to your device instead of to the Cricut Cloud, uninstalling the app will also delete those things. Offload the app instead to preserve your downloaded content and projects saved to the device.
Instructions may vary slightly based on device.
- Find Cricut Design Space while on your home screen.
- Press and hold Design Space.
- Tap Uninstall.
Tip: Once programs are uninstalled from the computer, it is recommended that you restart the computer before reinstalling programs.
