If you are experiencing difficulty loading your mat, or machine buttons do not light up to complete a cut after you click "Make" from iOS devices, you can resolve this by visiting the App Store and updating the Cricut Design Space app to v6.28.0. Find step-by-step instructions below.
Important: **Please be sure you have saved any unsaved projects opened before proceeding.**
Step 1: Check whether you are already using the updated version (v6.28.0).
- Open the Cricut Design Space app and sign in.
- Open the app menu in the top-left of the screen (
).
- Select About. You will see the version number listed there. (You may need to close the notification about Cricut Access or scroll down.)
If you are not on version 6.28.0, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Update the app to v6.28.0
- Open the App Store app on your device.
- Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
- Scroll to see pending updates and release notes for the apps installed on your device. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app.
- You can also search the App Store for Cricut Design Space, then select it in the list of search results. If an update is available, there will be a button titled Update for you to select and proceed to update the app.
After following the steps above, the Design Space app will close and begin installing the latest version. Once this process finishes Design Space should open normally and you can get back to crafting.
