Permanent Marker, 2.5mm FAQ
My permanent marker doesn’t fit in the A clamp of my machine. How do I get it to fit?
You must remove the pen adaptor from the A clamp. You can learn how to do it here: How do I remove/replace the accessory adapter for my machine? https://help.cricut.com/hc/articles/360009430234
What machines can I use these markers in?
The Permanent Marker, 2.5 mm fits in Cricut Explore, Cricut Maker, and Cricut Venture machines. These Permanent Markers are not compatible with Cricut Joy or Cricut Joy Xtra machines.
Can I only use these pens on writable vinyl?
No, you don’t need to use writable vinyl for these pens. You can write on any vinyl surface. However, we don’t recommend drawing on smart material for long draws because it could result in smudging.
Can I use transfer tape on the vinyl once I draw my project with permanent markers?
It is not recommended to use transfer tape with these markers as it will pull some ink off your project.
Note: Cricut Explore One requires an accessory adapter in order to use Cricut pens (sold separately).
Important: Cricut Pens and Markers for use with Cricut Maker, Cricut Explore, and Cricut Venture machines are manufactured specifically for these machines and will not fit into other machines. Check packaging for machine compatibility before purchasing.
How to store Cricut pens and markers
We recommend storing your Cricut pens and markers nib side down for best performance. The exception to this is the Infusible Ink Freehand Dual-Tip markers – those should be stored flat to allow for optimal use of both tips.
