What does it mean to design offline?
It means you can design, edit, and cut projects without an internet connection.
Will my projects sync across all devices?
Yes. When using Design Space for Desktop, you can choose to save your projects to the cloud only or to the cloud and your computer. Keep in mind, however, that if you are not connected to the internet when you save a project, it will not be available on other devices until you re-connect to the internet and sync to the cloud.
Can I use Cricut Access content offline if I am not a Cricut Access subscriber?
If your project includes Cricut Access content that has not yet been purchased, you will not be able to complete a cut offline. Once the content is purchased, you can then complete the cut, online or offline.
Will I be able to sign in to Design Space if I'm not connected to the internet?
No. To sign in to your Design Space account, you must be connected to the internet.
Why can't I sign in to Design Space while I'm offline?
To sign in to Design Space, you will need to be connected to the internet. Once signed in, you then choose to work offline. Just disconnect from your Wi-Fi network or unplug the Ethernet cable from your computer.
How do I use Design Space for Desktop while offline?
To download and install the application, you'll need an internet connection. But once the application installed, you can choose to work offline any time. Just disconnect from your Wi-Fi network or unplug the Ethernet cable from your computer. You will still need to connect to the internet periodically to verify your Cricut Access subscription, synchronize content, and keep Design Space for Desktop up to date. How do I access my projects and images when I am not connected to the internet?
When you’re working online and choose to save your project, choose to save your project to the cloud and your computer (not just to the cloud). That way, your project, including all images and fonts within that project, will be available for offline use. You can also download images and fonts to your computer for use while offline.
Can I cut when I am not connected to the internet?
Yes. If you choose the option that saves your project to your computer and the cloud, you can edit and cut that project without an internet connection. You can even create and cut a brand-new project using the fonts, images, and patterns that were used in projects already saved to your computer.
Also, if you experience an internet disruption or server outage when you are working on an unsaved Canvas, you will still be able to edit and cut that Canvas. Save your project periodically as you work; it will be saved to your computer, but it will automatically sync online once your internet connection is restored.
Note: You will not be able to cut projects that include content you haven’t purchased (or that is not included with your Cricut Access plan). Purchases must be completed while connected to the internet, or must be part of your existing Cricut Access plan.
Can I search for projects and images when I'm not connected to the internet?
No. When not connected to the internet you'll only be able to browse through images, fonts, and projects you have saved to your computer for offline use.
Can I upload images while not connected to the internet?
No. Uploading images for your project requires an internet connection.
Will my project automatically be saved if I am disconnected?
No. If you lose connection while working on a project, you can still keep working on your Canvas and even save the project. It will be saved to your computer, but it will automatically sync online once your internet connections is restored.
