How can I tell if I have Cricut EasyPress, Cricut EasyPress 2, Cricut EasyPress 3, or Cricut EasyPress SE?
You can easily determine which Cricut EasyPress you have by checking a few features.
Button Iconography
Cricut EasyPress 2 utilizes a thermometer icon on the temperature button, and a Cricut logo on the "go" button. Cricut EasyPress 3 and Cricut EasyPress SE feature a heat wave icon for temperature, and a play icon for the "go" button.

USB Port
Cricut EasyPress 2 has a micro-USB port on the back, near the power cord. This port is used to update firmware. Cricut EasyPress 3 also has a micro-USB port on the back, which is used to load firmware to the machine during manufacture (any subsequent firmware updates are accomplished through the Cricut Heat app). Earlier Cricut EasyPress models do not have this port.
Cricut EasyPress SE does not require firmware updates or activation and does not have a USB port.

Cricut EasyPress 2, Cricut EasyPress 3, and Cricut EasyPress SE feature precise temperature control up to 400°F (205°C). Original Cricut EasyPress features precise temperature control up to 360°F (180°C).
