How to pair Cricut EasyPress 3 to your mobile device
Cricut EasyPress 3 contains Bluetooth Low Energy technology (BLE), which allows it to pair automatically with your mobile device when using the Cricut Heat app. No need to pair manually!
- Make sure your mobile device’s Bluetooth is ON, so it is discoverable.
- Connect Cricut EasyPress 3 power cord to wall outlet and power it on.
- Open the Cricut Heat app and sign in. If you’ve activated your Cricut EasyPress 3, it will appear in My Presses. If you have multiple presses activated, select one to connect.
- If you have not yet activated your Cricut EasyPress 3, select Set up New Heat Press and follow the on-screen prompts to activate your press.
- The app will show that your press is connected. You’ll also see the press listed in your mobile device’s Bluetooth settings.
- When the press Is powered off, the Bluetooth will disconnect automatically.
How to use Cricut EasyPress 3 with the Cricut Heat app
Once you’ve activated Cricut EasyPress 3, use the Cricut Heat app to access or create settings for your projects, send settings directly to the press, and find detailed stacking, pressing, and care instructions for your projects! Here’s how:
Send recommended time & temp settings to Cricut EasyPress 3
- Plug the unit into a compatible wall outlet and press the power button to turn it on.
- Open the Cricut Heat app.
- Under My Heat Presses, select Cricut EasyPress 3, and select Start New Project.
- Select your transfer material and the base material to which you will apply it, then select Next.
- Once all selections have been made, select Send Settings to EasyPress and follow the on-screen prompts to finish the project!
Note: If needed, select Edit to adjust the recommended settings.
Set custom time & temp
- Open Cricut Heat app.
- Under My Heat Presses, select the Cricut EasyPress 3 and scroll to the Set Custom Time & Temp option.
- Change the Temperature and Press time as desired. You can also select options to Preheat Blank and Flip & Press when pressing blanks that require these steps. When you’re finished, select Send Settings to EasyPress.
Last Used
The Cricut Heat App save your 3 most recently used settings for easy reference! Simply select the previously used setting and Send to EasyPress to save time when pressing commonly used materials.
Detailed Instructions
Cricut Heat app contains some detailed stacking and pressing instructions based on the transfer material and base material to which you’ll apply it. Simply select Detailed Instructions on the Send Materials screen for more information.
How to adjust Cricut EasyPress 3 temperature
Cricut EasyPress 3 time & temperature settings can be adjusted manually using the buttons on the press itself or wirelessly through the Cricut Heat App.
Adjusting settings manually
- To set temperature: Press the temperature button (3 heat wave lines), then adjust with the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons. To switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius, press and hold the temperature button until you see the change from °F to °C occur on the screen.
- To set time: Press the time button (with the image of a clock), then adjust the value with the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons.

What the lights mean:
- Orange = it’s heating up
- Green = temperature has been reached
- Red = there is an error
Note: Recommended time and temperature settings for Cricut EasyPress 3 are found in the Cricut Heat app.
Adjusting settings using Cricut Heat app
- Plug Cricut EasyPress 3 into a compatible wall outlet and press the power button to turn on.
- Launch the Cricut Heat app.
- Under My Heat Presses, select Cricut EasyPress 3, and select Start New Project.
- Select your transfer material, the base material to which you will apply it, and what you're using as a pressing surface, then select Next.
- Once all selections have been made, select Send Settings to EasyPress.
- The app will show progress as your press is heating up to the target temperature.
Creating a custom setting
- Launch the Cricut Heat app.
- Under My Heat Presses, select Cricut EasyPress 3.
- Select Set custom time & temp under Start New Project.
- Tap on the Temperature and Press fields to enter the desired temperature and time. . It will be in 5° increments.
- Choose Preheat and Flip & Press settings as desired.
- Once all selections have been made, select Send Settings to EasyPress.
