Fingerprints or Smudges
Fingerprints may not be visible on your material before printing but can appear in the finished print. Oils from your hands can transfer to the material and become visible during printing.
To help prevent fingerprints, avoid touching the printable surface of your material.
Screen vs. Print
Your finished print may look slightly different from what you see on your phone, tablet, or computer. Screens use light to display colors, which can make images appear differently on screen vs physical prints.
You may notice:
- Softer colors. Very bright, neon, or highly saturated colors may appear more muted when printed.
- Softer blacks. StickerPix creates black by combining colors rather than using separate black ink. Because of this, blacks and other dark areas may appear softer or have less contrast.
- Slightly less detail. Some images may have slightly less detail when printed than they appear to have on screen.
Tip: For a closer comparison, reduce your screen brightness to about 50% and view your finished print under good, neutral lighting.
Color Variation Between Prints
You may notice small color differences when printing the same design more than once. Print colors may vary slightly between machines and can also be affected by machine and room temperature.
For more consistent results, use Cricut StickerPix Print in a cool, well-ventilated area.
Colored Spots or Small Print Imperfections
Dust, fibers, or other particles on your material can become visible in your finished print.
You may see:
- Small colored spots or specks
- Areas of uneven color
- Dust or fiber marks
- Other small imperfections
Keeping your materials clean and properly stored can help prevent these marks.
